BODY OF LIGHT

Description

The Body of Light is a Eurorack-compatible laser control module designed by Modular Moon, offering extensive control over laser visuals through CV (control voltage) inputs and hands-on parameter manipulation. Perfect for modular synth enthusiasts and audiovisual performers, this module blends sound and light to create immersive laser visuals.

Features:

1. Control Parameters:

Hue, Saturation, and Brightness:

Knobs and CV inputs to control the intensity and character of laser colors.

Secondary CV inputs for additional modulation of Hue and Saturation.

Positioning:

X and Y-axis position controls via knobs and CV inputs for laser beam movement.

Attenuators for incoming modulation signals, allowing precise adjustments.

Scale:

Dedicated knob for scaling laser visuals, creating expansive or focused patterns.

2. Color Management:

Individual CV inputs for Red, Green, and Blue color channels.

Intensity control knob and CV input to fine-tune brightness.

3. Audio Integration:

Audio input with an attenuator, enabling sound-reactive laser visuals. Envelope follower that reads the dynamic of the incoming audio signal and passes it further to X, Saturation, Hue and Brightness.

4. Shutter Control:

Dedicated CV input for controlling laser shutter dynamics.

5. On/Off Switch:

Toggle power for safety and energy efficiency.

6. ILDA Output Expansion:

The side panel features an ILDA output, enabling seamless connection to external laser systems.

Includes attenuverters for incoming CV signals (Hue, Brightness, and Y-axis modulation) for even more refined control.

• Includes a 6 dB low-pass filter at 1.5 kHz on the X and Y outputs, that smoothes out high-frequency content and protects laser galvos.

7. Custom Design:

Labeled as the Quetzalcoatl Edition, featuring an Aztec-inspired laser-engraved motif on the expansion panel for an artistic touch.

Applications:

The Body of Light module is ideal for creating intricate laser visuals in live performances, immersive installations, and audiovisual experiments. Its expansive connectivity, hands-on controls, and modular format make it versatile for both beginners and professionals. Has DMX expansion possibility and adaptation to LZX systems on demand.

Compatibility:

This module is compatible with standard Eurorack setups and integrates easily with other modular synthesizers, CV sources, and ILDA-compatible laser systems.
